Fitness Kickboxing for Beginners

You can start getting a great workout right from your first kickboxing class. The moves are fairly simple, so the movement isn't too complicated.

You'll learn basic punches, like:

  • jabs
  • crosses
  • hooks
  • uppercuts

Plus lower body moves, such as:

  • front kicks
  • side kicks
  • back kicks
  • roundhouse kicks
  • knee strikes

Fitness kickboxing classes typically include a warm up and cool down segment, and may incorporate core strength building exercises like planks or crunches or push-ups.

HMA Kickboxing Common Questions and Answers

A common misunderstanding is that you need to be 'in shape' before starting kickboxing training. This is completely false. Our classes are designed to allow our members to train 'at their own pace' while at the same time, giving the advanced student the opportunity to challenge themselves.

You absolutely can just do cardio BUT, without the right amount of proper resistance training, you won't see the results you're looking for as quickly and effectively. Cardio can be an important part of a fat loss program but you need to develop lean muscle tissue to really turn your body into a fat melting machine. The only really effective way to do that is through resistance training, which is exactly what our Kickboxing class does. We combine Cardio and Resistance training into one super fat-burning-muscle-sculpting-fun workout!

Our classes last approximately 60 minutes

There is no minimum term on direct debit. Thereafter, you can cancel anytime with two weeks with notice via email

Members can submit a suspension request form via our member's section of our website. Click Here.

Up 4 weeks of suspension is permitted per year and each suspension must be at least 1 week in length. Please provide at least 2 days notice before your actual suspension date. Back-dated suspension cannot be processed.

Special offers or packages cannot be suspended until otherwise advised.
